The e2e_node topology_manager check have a early, quick check
to rule out systems without sriov device, thus skipping the tests.
The first version of the ckeck detected PFs, (Physical Functions),
under the assumption that VFs (Virtual Functions) were already been
created. This works because, obviously, you can't have VFs without PFs.
However, it's a little safer and easier to understand if we check
firectly for VFs, bailing out from systems which don't provide them.
Nothing changes for properly configured test systems.

This implementation allows Pod to request multiple hugepage resources
of different size and mount hugepage volumes using storage medium
HugePage-<size>, e.g.
spec:
containers:
resources:
requests:
hugepages-2Mi: 2Mi
hugepages-1Gi: 2Gi
volumeMounts:
- mountPath: /hugepages-2Mi
name: hugepage-2mi
- mountPath: /hugepages-1Gi
name: hugepage-1gi
...
volumes:
- name: hugepage-2mi
emptyDir:
medium: HugePages-2Mi
- name: hugepage-1gi
emptyDir:
medium: HugePages-1Gi
NOTE: This is an alpha feature.
Feature gate HugePageStorageMediumSize must be enabled for it to work.
This is useful for logs from daemonset pods because for those it is
often relevant which node they ran on because they interact with
resources or other pods on the host.
To keep the log prefix short, it gets limited to a maximum length of
10 characters.
The image used by the Image Promoter (gcr.io/k8s-testimages/gcb-docker-gcloud:v20190906-745fed4)
is based on busybox, and thus, the sed binary is actually busybox. image-util.sh calls
kube::util::ensure-gnu-sed several times, which ensures that a GNU sed binary exists
(it checks by greping GNU in its --help output). Obviously, it won't match the busybox sed
binary. But the sed usage in image-util.sh is fairly simple, and the busybox sed is sufficient.
This was previously fixed in: #87188, but it was reverted by #87653 as it was failing
on Mac (sed does not exist). This commit fixes that issue as well.
Quite a few images are only used a few times in a few tests. Thus,
the images are being centralized into the agnhost image, reducing
the number of images that have to be pulled and used.
This PR replaces the usage of the following images with agnhost:
- resource-consumer-controller
- test-webserver
The pod, container, and emptyDir volumes can all trigger evictions
when their limits are breached. To ensure that administrators can
alert on these type of evictions, update kubelet_evictions to include
the following signal types:
* ephemeralcontainerfs.limit - container ephemeral storage breaches its limit
* ephemeralpodfs.limit - pod ephemeral storage breaches its limit
* emptydirfs.limit - pod emptyDir storage breaches its limit
The StatefulSet controller cleans up ControllerRevisions at the end of
the reconcile loop. If something goes wrong during reconcile, it bails
out without actually performing this step. This commit moves the cleanup
to a deferred function call to guarantee it will be executed.
