This change has been reverted. I apologize for causing this. I greatly
underestimated the impact this would have. Logrus strives for stability and
backwards compatibility and failed to provide that.
Logrus is a structured logger for Go (golang), completely API compatible with
the standard library logger. [Godoc][godoc]. **Please note the Logrus API is not
yet stable (pre 1.0). Logrus itself is completely stable and has been used in
many large deployments. The core API is unlikely to change much but please
version control your Logrus to make sure you aren't fetching latest `master` on
every build.**
Nicely color-coded in development (when a TTY is attached, otherwise just
plain text):

#### Example
The simplest way to use Logrus is simply the package-level exported logger:

Note that it's completely api-compatible with the stdlib logger, so you can
replace your `log` imports everywhere with `log "github.com/Sirupsen/logrus"`
and you'll now have the flexibility of Logrus. You can customize it all you

#### Fields
Logrus encourages careful, structured logging though logging fields instead of
long, unparseable error messages. For example, instead of: `log.Fatalf("Failed
to send event %s to topic %s with key %d")`, you should log the much more
discoverable:

}).Fatal("Failed to send event")
```
We've found this API forces you to think about logging in a way that produces
much more useful logging messages. We've been in countless situations where just
a single added field to a log statement that was already there would've saved us
hours. The `WithFields` call is optional.
In general, with Logrus using any of the `printf`-family functions should be
seen as a hint you should add a field, however, you can still use the
`printf`-family functions with Logrus.
#### Default Fields
Often it's helpful to have fields _always_ attached to log statements in an
application or parts of one. For example, you may want to always log the
`request_id` and `user_ip` in the context of a request. Instead of writing
`log.WithFields(log.Fields{"request_id": request_id, "user_ip": user_ip})` on
every line, you can create a `logrus.Entry` to pass around instead:

#### Hooks
You can add hooks for logging levels. For example to send errors to an exception
tracking service on `Error`, `Fatal` and `Panic`, info to StatsD or log to
multiple places simultaneously, e.g. syslog.
Logrus comes with [built-in hooks](hooks/). Add those, or your custom hook, in
`init`:

#### Level logging
Logrus has six logging levels: Debug, Info, Warning, Error, Fatal and Panic.

You can set the logging level on a `Logger`, then it will only log entries with
that severity or anything above it:
```go
// Will log anything that is info or above (warn, error, fatal, panic). Default.
log.SetLevel(log.InfoLevel)
```
It may be useful to set `log.Level = logrus.DebugLevel` in a debug or verbose
environment if your application has that.
#### Entries
Besides the fields added with `WithField` or `WithFields` some fields are
automatically added to all logging events:
1. `time`. The timestamp when the entry was created.
2. `msg`. The logging message passed to `{Info,Warn,Error,Fatal,Panic}` after
the `AddFields` call. E.g. `Failed to send event.`
3. `level`. The logging level. E.g. `info`.
#### Environments
Logrus has no notion of environment.
If you wish for hooks and formatters to only be used in specific environments,
you should handle that yourself. For example, if your application has a global
variable `Environment`, which is a string representation of the environment you
could do:

This configuration is how `logrus` was intended to be used, but JSON in
production is mostly only useful if you do log aggregation with tools like
Splunk or Logstash.
#### Formatters
The built-in logging formatters are:
* `logrus.TextFormatter`. Logs the event in colors if stdout is a tty, otherwise
without colors.
* *Note:* to force colored output when there is no TTY, set the `ForceColors`
field to `true`. To force no colored output even if there is a TTY set the
`DisableColors` field to `true`. For Windows, see
[github.com/mattn/go-colorable](https://github.com/mattn/go-colorable).

* `logrus.JSONFormatter`. Logs fields as JSON.

You can define your formatter by implementing the `Formatter` interface,
requiring a `Format` method. `Format` takes an `*Entry`. `entry.Data` is a
`Fields` type (`map[string]interface{}`) with all your fields as well as the
default ones (see Entries section above):

#### Logger as an `io.Writer`
Logrus can be transformed into an `io.Writer`. That writer is the end of an `io.Pipe` and it is your responsibility to close it.

// logrus.Logger.
ErrorLog: log.New(w, "", 0),

```
Each line written to that writer will be printed the usual way, using formatters
and hooks. The level for those entries is `info`.
This means that we can override the standard library logger easily:

// Note that `log` here references stdlib's log

#### Rotation
Log rotation is not provided with Logrus. Log rotation should be done by an
external program (like `logrotate(8)`) that can compress and delete old log
entries. It should not be a feature of the application-level logger.

#### Testing
Logrus has a built in facility for asserting the presence of log messages. This is implemented through the `test` hook and provides:
* decorators for existing logger (`test.NewLocal` and `test.NewGlobal`) which basically just add the `test` hook
* a test logger (`test.NewNullLogger`) that just records log messages (and does not output any):

#### Fatal handlers
Logrus can register one or more functions that will be called when any `fatal`
level message is logged. The registered handlers will be executed before
logrus performs a `os.Exit(1)`. This behavior may be helpful if callers need
to gracefully shutdown. Unlike a `panic("Something went wrong...")` call which can be intercepted with a deferred `recover` a call to `os.Exit(1)` can not be intercepted.

#### Thread safety
By default Logger is protected by mutex for concurrent writes, this mutex is invoked when calling hooks and writing logs.
If you are sure such locking is not needed, you can call logger.SetNoLock() to disable the locking.
Situation when locking is not needed includes:
* You have no hooks registered, or hooks calling is already thread-safe.
* Writing to logger.Out is already thread-safe, for example:
1) logger.Out is protected by locks.
2) logger.Out is a os.File handler opened with `O_APPEND` flag, and every write is smaller than 4k. (This allow multi-thread/multi-process writing)

# Distribution
The Docker toolset to pack, ship, store, and deliver content.
This repository's main product is the Docker Registry 2.0 implementation
for storing and distributing Docker images. It supersedes the

### How does this integrate with Docker engine?
This project should provide an implementation to a V2 API for use in the [Docker
core project](https://github.com/docker/docker). The API should be embeddable
and simplify the process of securely pulling and pushing content from `docker`
daemons.
### What are the long term goals of the Distribution project?
The _Distribution_ project has the further long term goal of providing a
secure tool chain for distributing content. The specifications, APIs and tools
should be as useful with Docker as they are without.
Our goal is to design a professional grade and extensible content distribution
system that allow users to:
* Enjoy an efficient, secured and reliable way to store, manage, package and
exchange content
* Hack/roll their own on top of healthy open-source components
* Implement their own home made solution through good specs, and solid
extensions mechanism.

### Who needs to deploy a registry?
By default, Docker users pull images from Docker's public registry instance.
[Installing Docker](https://docs.docker.com/engine/installation/) gives users this
ability. Users can also push images to a repository on Docker's public registry,
if they have a [Docker Hub](https://hub.docker.com/) account.
For some users and even companies, this default behavior is sufficient. For
others, it is not.
For example, users with their own software products may want to maintain a
registry for private, company images. Also, you may wish to deploy your own
image repository for images used to test or in continuous integration. For these
use cases and others, [deploying your own registry instance](https://github.com/docker/docker.github.io/blob/master/registry/deploying.md)
may be the better choice.
### Migration to Registry 2.0
For those who have previously deployed their own registry based on the Registry
1.0 implementation and wish to deploy a Registry 2.0 while retaining images,
data migration is required. A tool to assist with migration efforts has been
created. For more information see [docker/migrator]
(https://github.com/docker/migrator).

Moby is an open-source project created by Docker to advance the software containerization movement.

# Moby
## Overview
At the core of Moby is a framework to assemble specialized container systems.
It provides:
- A library of containerized components for all vital aspects of a container system: OS, container runtime, orchestration, infrastructure management, networking, storage, security, build, image distribution, etc.
- Tools to assemble the components into runnable artifacts for a variety of platforms and architectures: bare metal (both x86 and Arm); executables for Linux, Mac and Windows; VM images for popular cloud and virtualization providers.
- A set of reference assemblies which can be used as-is, modified, or used as inspiration to create your own.
All Moby components are containers, so creating new components is as easy as building a new OCI-compatible container.
## Principles
Moby is an open project guided by strong principles, but modular, flexible and without too strong an opinion on user experience, so it is open to the community to help set its direction.
The guiding principles are:
- Batteries included but swappable: Moby includes enough components to build fully featured container system, but its modular architecture ensures that most of the components can be swapped by different implementations.
- Usable security: Moby will provide secure defaults without compromising usability.
- Container centric: Moby is built with containers, for running containers.
With Moby, you should be able to describe all the components of your distributed application, from the high-level configuration files down to the kernel you would like to use and build and deploy it easily.
Moby uses [containerd](https://github.com/containerd/containerd) as the default container runtime.
## Audience
Moby is recommended for anyone who wants to assemble a container-based system. This includes:
- Hackers who want to customize or patch their Docker build
- System engineers or integrators building a container system
- Infrastructure providers looking to adapt existing container systems to their environment
- Container enthusiasts who want to experiment with the latest container tech
- Open-source developers looking to test their project in a variety of different systems
- Anyone curious about Docker internals and how it’s built
Moby is NOT recommended for:
- Application developers looking for an easy way to run their applications in containers. We recommend Docker CE instead.
- Enterprise IT and development teams looking for a ready-to-use, commercially supported container platform. We recommend Docker EE instead.

# Transitioning to Moby
Docker is transitioning all of its open source collaborations to the Moby project going forward.
During the transition, all open source activity should continue as usual.
We are proposing the following list of changes:
- splitting up the engine into more open components
- removing the docker UI, SDK etc to keep them in the Docker org
- clarifying that the project is not limited to the engine, but to the assembly of all the individual components of the Docker platform
- open-source new tools & components which we currently use to assemble the Docker product, but could benefit the community
- defining an open, community-centric governance inspired by the Fedora project (a very successful example of balancing the needs of the community with the constraints of the primary corporate sponsor)

# Working on the Engine API
The Engine API is an HTTP API used by the command-line client to communicate with the daemon. It can also be used by third-party software to control the daemon.
It consists of various components in this repository:
- `api/swagger.yaml` A Swagger definition of the API.
- `api/types/` Types shared by both the client and server, representing various objects, options, responses, etc. Most are written manually, but some are automatically generated from the Swagger definition. See [#27919](https://github.com/docker/docker/issues/27919) for progress on this.
- `cli/` The command-line client.
- `client/` The Go client used by the command-line client. It can also be used by third-party Go programs.
- `daemon/` The daemon, which serves the API.
## Swagger definition
The API is defined by the [Swagger](http://swagger.io/specification/) definition in `api/swagger.yaml`. This definition can be used to:
1. To automatically generate documentation.
2. To automatically generate the Go server and client. (A work-in-progress.)
3. Provide a machine readable version of the API for introspecting what it can do, automatically generating clients for other languages, etc.
## Updating the API documentation
The API documentation is generated entirely from `api/swagger.yaml`. If you make updates to the API, you'll need to edit this file to represent the change in the documentation.
The file is split into two main sections:
- `definitions`, which defines re-usable objects used in requests and responses
- `paths`, which defines the API endpoints (and some inline objects which don't need to be reusable)
To make an edit, first look for the endpoint you want to edit under `paths`, then make the required edits. Endpoints may reference reusable objects with `$ref`, which can be found in the `definitions` section.
There is hopefully enough example material in the file for you to copy a similar pattern from elsewhere in the file (e.g. adding new fields or endpoints), but for the full reference, see the [Swagger specification](https://github.com/docker/docker/issues/27919)
`swagger.yaml` is validated by `hack/validate/swagger` to ensure it is a valid Swagger definition. This is useful for when you are making edits to ensure you are doing the right thing.
## Viewing the API documentation
When you make edits to `swagger.yaml`, you may want to check the generated API documentation to ensure it renders correctly.
Run `make swagger-docs` and a preview will be running at `http://localhost`. Some of the styling may be incorrect, but you'll be able to ensure that it is generating the correct documentation.
The production documentation is generated by vendoring `swagger.yaml` into [docker/docker.github.io](https://github.com/docker/docker.github.io).

# Legacy API type versions
This package includes types for legacy API versions. The stable version of the API types live in `api/types/*.go`.
Consider moving a type here when you need to keep backwards compatibility in the API. This legacy types are organized by the latest API version they appear in. For instance, types in the `v1p19` package are valid for API versions below or equal `1.19`. Types in the `v1p20` package are valid for the API version `1.20`, since the versions below that will use the legacy types in `v1p19`.
## Package name conventions
The package name convention is to use `v` as a prefix for the version number and `p`(patch) as a separator. We use this nomenclature due to a few restrictions in the Go package name convention:
1. We cannot use `.` because it's interpreted by the language, think of `v1.20.CallFunction`.
2. We cannot use `_` because golint complains about it. The code is actually valid, but it looks probably more weird: `v1_20.CallFunction`.
For instance, if you want to modify a type that was available in the version `1.21` of the API but it will have different fields in the version `1.22`, you want to create a new package under `api/types/versions/v1p21`.

# Integration Testing on Swarm
IT on Swarm allows you to execute integration test in parallel across a Docker Swarm cluster
## Architecture
### Master service
- Works as a funker caller
- Calls a worker funker (`-worker-service`) with a chunk of `-check.f` filter strings (passed as a file via `-input` flag, typically `/mnt/input`)
### Worker service
- Works as a funker callee
- Executes an equivalent of `TESTFLAGS=-check.f TestFoo|TestBar|TestBaz ... make test-integration-cli` using the bind-mounted API socket (`docker.sock`)
### Client
- Controls master and workers via `docker stack`
- No need to have a local daemon
Typically, the master and workers are supposed to be running on a cloud environment,
while the client is supposed to be running on a laptop, e.g. Docker for Mac/Windows.
## Requirement
- Docker daemon 1.13 or later
- Private registry for distributed execution with multiple nodes
## Usage
### Step 1: Prepare images
$ make build-integration-cli-on-swarm
Following environment variables are known to work in this step:
- `BUILDFLAGS`
- `DOCKER_INCREMENTAL_BINARY`
### Step 2: Execute tests

Basic flags:
- `-replicas N`: the number of worker service replicas. i.e. degree of parallelism.
- `-chunks N`: the number of chunks. By default, `chunks` == `replicas`.
- `-push-worker-image REGISTRY/IMAGE:TAG`: push the worker image to the registry. Note that if you have only single node and hence you do not need a private registry, you do not need to specify `-push-worker-image`.
Experimental flags for mitigating makespan nonuniformity:
- `-shuffle`: Shuffle the test filter strings
Flags for debugging IT on Swarm itself:
- `-rand-seed N`: the random seed. This flag is useful for deterministic replaying. By default(0), the timestamp is used.
- `-filters-file FILE`: the file contains `-check.f` strings. By default, the file is automatically generated.
- `-dry-run`: skip the actual workload
- `keep-executor`: do not auto-remove executor containers, which is used for running privileged programs on Swarm

Utility packages are kept separate from the docker core codebase to keep it as small and concise as possible.
If some utilities grow larger and their APIs stabilize, they may be moved to their own repository under the
Docker organization, to facilitate re-use by other projects. However that is not the priority.
The directory `pkg` is named after the same directory in the camlistore project. Since Brad is a core
Go maintainer, we thought it made sense to copy his methods for organizing Go code :) Thanks Brad!
Because utility packages are small and neatly separated from the rest of the codebase, they are a good
place to start for aspiring maintainers and contributors. Get in touch if you want to help maintain them!

## Getting Started
### Build the `moby` and `linuxkit` tools
LinuxKit uses the `moby` tool for image builds, and the `linuxkit` tool for pushing and running VM images.
Simple build instructions: use `make` to build. This will build the tools in `bin/`. Add this
to your `PATH` or copy it to somewhere in your `PATH` eg `sudo cp bin/* /usr/local/bin/`. Or you can use `sudo make install`.
If you already have `go` installed you can use `go get -u github.com/linuxkit/linuxkit/src/cmd/moby` to install
the `moby` build tool, and `go get -u github.com/linuxkit/linuxkit/src/cmd/linuxkit` to install the `linuxkit` tool.
You can use `go get -u github.com/linuxkit/linuxkit/src/cmd/infrakit-instance-hyperkit`
to get the hyperkit infrakit tool.
Once you have built the tool, use `moby build linuxkit.yml` to build the example configuration,
and `linuxkit run linuxkit` to run locally. Use `halt` to terminate on the console.
Build requirements:
- GNU `make`
- GNU or BSD `tar` (not `busybox` `tar`)
- Docker
### Booting and Testing
You can use `linuxkit run <name>` to execute the image you created with `moby build <name>.yml`.
This will use a suitable backend for your platform or you can choose one, for example VMWare.
See `linuxkit run --help`.
`make test` or `make test-hyperkit` will run the test suite
There are also docs for booting on [Google Cloud](docs/gcp.md); `linuxkit push gcp <name> && linuxkit run gcp <name>.yml` should
work if you specified a GCP image to be built in the config.
More detailed docs will be available shortly, for running both single hosts and clusters.
## Building your own customised image
To customise, copy or modify the [`linuxkit.yml`](linuxkit.yml) to your own `file.yml` or use one of the [examples](examples/) and then run `moby build file.yml` to
generate its specified output. You can run the output with `linuxkit run file`.
The yaml file specifies a kernel and base init system, a set of containers that are built into the generated image and started at boot time. It also specifies what
formats to output, such as bootable ISOs and images for various platforms.
### Yaml Specification
The yaml format specifies the image to be built:
- `kernel` specifies a kernel Docker image, containing a kernel and a filesystem tarball, eg containing modules. The example kernels are built from `kernel/`
- `init` is the base `init` process Docker image, which is unpacked as the base system, containing `init`, `containerd`, `runc` and a few tools. Built from `pkg/init/`
- `onboot` are the system containers, executed sequentially in order. They should terminate quickly when done.
- `services` is the system services, which normally run for the whole time the system is up
- `files` are additional files to add to the image
- `outputs` are descriptions of what to build, such as ISOs.

## Roadmap
This project was extensively reworked from the code we are shipping in Docker Editions, and the result is not yet production quality. The plan is to return to production
quality during Q2 2017, and rebase the Docker Editions on this open source project.
This is an open project without fixed judgements, open to the community to set the direction. The guiding principles are:
- Security informs design
- Infrastructure as code: immutable, manageable with code
- Sensible, secure, and well-tested defaults
- An open, pluggable platform for diverse use cases
- Easy to use and participate in the project
- Built with containers, for portability and reproducibility
- Run with system containers, for isolation and extensibility
- A base for robust products

# Projects
We aim to provide a set of open spaces for collaboration to help move projects towards production. Projects should usually
at a minimum provide a `README` of how to get started using the project with Moby, and a roadmap document explaining what
the aims are and how to contribute. Most projects will probably provide a way to run the project in a custom Moby build
in its current state, which ideally will be integrated in the Moby CI so there are checks that it builds and runs. Over
time we hope that many projects will graduate into the recommended production defaults, but other projects may remain as
ongoing projects, such as kernel hardening.

# What is a digest?
A digest is just a hash.
The most common use case for a digest is to create a content
identifier for use in [Content Addressable Storage](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content-addressable_storage)
systems:
```go
id := digest.FromBytes([]byte("my content"))
```
In the example above, the id can be used to uniquely identify
the byte slice "my content". This allows two disparate applications
to agree on a verifiable identifier without having to trust one
another.
An identifying digest can be verified, as follows:
```go
if id != digest.FromBytes([]byte("my content")) {
return errors.New("the content has changed!")
}
```
A `Verifier` type can be used to handle cases where an `io.Reader`
makes more sense:
```go
rd := getContent()
verifier := id.Verifier()
io.Copy(verifier, rd)
if !verifier.Verified() {
return errors.New("the content has changed!")
}
```
Using [Merkle DAGs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkle_tree), this
can power a rich, safe, content distribution system.
# Usage
While the [godoc](https://godoc.org/github.com/docker/go-digest) is
considered the best resource, a few important items need to be called
out when using this package.
1. Make sure to import the hash implementations into your application
or the package will panic. You should have something like the
following in the main (or other entrypoint) of your application:
```go
import (
_ "crypto/sha256"
_ "crypto/sha512"
)
```
This may seem inconvenient but it allows you replace the hash
implementations with others, such as https://github.com/stevvooe/resumable.
2. Even though `digest.Digest` may be assemable as a string, _always_
verify your input with `digest.Parse` or use `Digest.Validate`
when accepting untrusted input. While there are measures to
avoid common problems, this will ensure you have valid digests
in the rest of your application.
# Stability
The Go API, at this stage, is considered stable, unless otherwise noted.
As always, before using a package export, read the [godoc](https://godoc.org/github.com/docker/go-digest).
# Contributing
This package is considered fairly complete. It has been in production
in thousands (millions?) of deployments and is fairly battle-hardened.
New additions will be met with skepticism. If you think there is a
missing feature, please file a bug clearly describing the problem and
the alternatives you tried before submitting a PR.

# Open Container Initiative Runtime Specification

## Use Cases
To provide context for users the following section gives example use cases for each part of the spec.
### Application Bundle Builders
Application bundle builders can create a [bundle](bundle.md) directory that includes all of the files required for launching an application as a container.
The bundle contains an OCI [configuration file](config.md) where the builder can specify host-independent details such as [which executable to launch](config.md#process) and host-specific settings such as [mount](config.md#mounts) locations, [hook](config.md#hooks) paths, Linux [namespaces](config-linux.md#namespaces) and [cgroups](config-linux.md#control-groups).
Because the configuration includes host-specific settings, application bundle directories copied between two hosts may require configuration adjustments.
### Hook Developers
[Hook](config.md#hooks) developers can extend the functionality of an OCI-compliant runtime by hooking into a container's lifecycle with an external application.
Example use cases include sophisticated network configuration, volume garbage collection, etc.
### Runtime Developers
Runtime developers can build runtime implementations that run OCI-compliant bundles and container configuration, containing low-level OS and host specific details, on a particular platform.
## Releases
There is a loose [Road Map](./ROADMAP.md).
During the `0.x` series of OCI releases we make no backwards compatibility guarantees and intend to break the schema during this series.

Package errors provides simple error handling primitives.
`go get github.com/pkg/errors`
The traditional error handling idiom in Go is roughly akin to
```go
if err != nil {
return err
}
```
which applied recursively up the call stack results in error reports without context or debugging information. The errors package allows programmers to add context to the failure path in their code in a way that does not destroy the original value of the error.
## Adding context to an error
The errors.Wrap function returns a new error that adds context to the original error. For example
```go
_, err := ioutil.ReadAll(r)
if err != nil {
return errors.Wrap(err, "read failed")
}
```
## Retrieving the cause of an error
Using `errors.Wrap` constructs a stack of errors, adding context to the preceding error. Depending on the nature of the error it may be necessary to reverse the operation of errors.Wrap to retrieve the original error for inspection. Any error value which implements this interface can be inspected by `errors.Cause`.

type causer interface {
Cause() error
}
```
`errors.Cause` will recursively retrieve the topmost error which does not implement `causer`, which is assumed to be the original cause. For example:

#### Loaders
There are various ways to load your JSON data.
In order to load your schemas and documents,
first declare an appropriate loader :
* Web / HTTP, using a reference :

The library handles string error codes which you can customize by creating your own gojsonschema.locale and setting it

**err.Value()**: *interface{}* Returns the value given
**err.Context()**: *gojsonschema.jsonContext* Returns the context. This has a String() method that will print something like this: (root).firstName
**err.Field()**: *string* Returns the fieldname in the format firstName, or for embedded properties, person.firstName. This returns the same as the String() method on *err.Context()* but removes the (root). prefix.
**err.Description()**: *string* The error description. This is based on the locale you are using. See the beginning of this section for overwriting the locale with a custom implementation.
**err.Details()**: *gojsonschema.ErrorDetails* Returns a map[string]interface{} of additional error details specific to the error. For example, GTE errors will have a "min" value, LTE will have a "max" value. See errors.go for a full description of all the error details. Every error always contains a "field" key that holds the value of *err.Field()*
Note in most cases, the err.Details() will be used to generate replacement strings in your locales, and not used directly. These strings follow the text/template format i.e.

{{.field}} must be greater than or equal to {{.min}}
```
## Formats
JSON Schema allows for optional "format" property to validate strings against well-known formats. gojsonschema ships with all of the formats defined in the spec that you can use like this:

Available formats: date-time, hostname, email, ipv4, ipv6, uri.
For repetitive or more complex formats, you can create custom format checkers and add them to gojsonschema like this:

# YAML support for the Go language
Introduction
------------
The yaml package enables Go programs to comfortably encode and decode YAML
values. It was developed within [Canonical](https://www.canonical.com) as
part of the [juju](https://juju.ubuntu.com) project, and is based on a
pure Go port of the well-known [libyaml](http://pyyaml.org/wiki/LibYAML)
C library to parse and generate YAML data quickly and reliably.
Compatibility
-------------
The yaml package supports most of YAML 1.1 and 1.2, including support for
anchors, tags, map merging, etc. Multi-document unmarshalling is not yet
implemented, and base-60 floats from YAML 1.1 are purposefully not
supported since they're a poor design and are gone in YAML 1.2.
Installation and usage
----------------------
The import path for the package is *gopkg.in/yaml.v2*.
To install it, run:
go get gopkg.in/yaml.v2
