Consolidated OpenVMM support for the Rust runtime (runtime-rs): an out-of-process hypervisor backend that drives the external `openvmm` VMM over ttrpc, using bindings generated by build.rs from the vendored protos/vmservice.proto (no OpenVMM crates are linked in-tree), plus configuration and Makefile wiring, kata-deploy integration, and the supporting build/test plumbing. This is a single squashed commit of the OpenVMM development branch (41 commits, b5951a1..) prepared for rebase onto kata-containers/kata-containers main; it will be reorganized into review buckets before the PR is opened. configure-hypervisor.sh
This script generates the official set of QEMU-based hypervisor build configuration options. All repositories that need to build a hypervisor from source MUST use this script to ensure the hypervisor is built in a known way since using a different set of options can impact many areas including performance, memory footprint and security.
Example usage:
$ configure-hypervisor.sh qemu
