Metadata accessors are coded in. This means that we don't need to inject flexibility, the flexibility is already present based on what your code relies up. This removes the per-individual resource injection which simplifies all calling code.

Use BootID instead of ExternalID to check for new instance
PR #60692 changed the way that ExternalID is reported on GCE. Its value
is no longer the GCE instance ID. It is the instance name. So it
cannot be used to determine VM uniqueness across time. Instead,
upgrade will check that the boot ID changed.

kubeadm: Mount additional paths inside apiserver/controller-manager for working CA root
This is required for a working CA root, as /etc/ssl/certs on a few
Linux distributions just contains a bunch of symlinks.
Container Linux and Debian have symlinks pointing to
/usr/share/ca-certificates, ArchLinux has symlinks pointing
to /etc/ca-certificates.
On Debian /etc/ssl/certs can also include symlinks pointing
to /usr/local/share/ca-certificates for local CA certificates.

Modify the kubeadm upgrade DAG for the TLS Upgrade

This adds the necessary utilities to detect Etcd TLS on static pods from the file system and query Etcd.
It modifies the upgrade logic to make it support the APIServer downtime.
Tests are included and should be passing.

unpack dynamic kubelet config payloads to files
This PR unpacks the downloaded ConfigMap to a set of files on the node.
This enables other config files to ride alongside the
KubeletConfiguration, and the KubeletConfiguration to refer to these
cohabitants with relative paths.
This PR also stops storing dynamic config metadata (e.g. current,
last-known-good config records) in the same directory as config
checkpoints. Instead, it splits the storage into `meta` and
`checkpoints` dirs.
The current store dir structure is as follows:

| - meta (dir for metadata, e.g. which config source is currently assigned, last-known-good)
| - current (a serialized v1 NodeConfigSource object, indicating the assigned config)

fix a bug in serviceaccount validate.

As the patch shows, the original idea here is to make sure that the bounded object is still exists in
cluster. But the compare is wrong.
It could cause recreate object validate through bug.
For example, a user requests a token which bounded with Pod A. The token should become invalid after Pod A's deletion. But if someone create a Pod with same name with Pod A, the token would be valid which should be not.

This PR implements one of the actions defined by https://github.com/kubernetes/kubeadm/issues/751 (checklist form implementing HA in kubeadm).
With this PR, the `API.ControlPlaneEndpoint` value in the kubeadm MasterConfiguration file now accepts both DNS and IP.
The `API.ControlPlaneEndpoint` should be used to set a stable IP address for the control plane; in an HA configuration, this should be the load balancer address (no matter if identified by a DNS name or by a stable IP).

configure-helper.sh plays a critical role in initializing clusters both on GCE and GKE. It is currently, over 2K lines of code, yet it has no unit test coverage.
This PR proposes a framework/approach on how to provide test coverage for this component.

1. Changes to configure-helper.sh itself were necessary to enable sourcing of this script for the purposes of testing.

juju: Use k8s.gcr.io url for arm64 ingress image
**What this PR does / why we need it**:
This updates the kubernetes-worker charm to point to k8s.gcr.io for the nginx-ingress-controller-arm64 image. This should have no impact on functionality today, but as I understand it, we're all standardizing on k8s.gcr.io to allow for future changes.

Remove request context mapper
http.Request now allows setting/retrieving a per-request context, which removes the need for plumbing a request-context mapper throughout the stack
In addition to being way simpler, this has the benefit of removing a potentially contentious lock object from the handling path
This PR:
* removes RequestContextMapper
* converts context fetchers to use `req.Context()`
* converts context setters to use `req = req.WithContext(...)`
* updates filter plumbing in two places (audit and timeout) to properly return the request with modified context
* updates tests that used a fake context mapper to set the context in the request instead
