a5e46a70ff hv: smpcall: abstract a common SMP call framework
This patch:
 - abstracts the common logic from existing x86 implementation
 - moves x86-specific logic to arch/x86/notify.c

A new common/notify.{c,h} is introduced to provide a common SMP call framework for
multi-arch support in ACRN.
arch-specific files such as arch/{x86,riscv}/notify.c is aim to provide the
corresponding implementations respectively.

The framework provides the following common APIs:
 - init_smp_call(): initialize the SMP call support during pCPU initialization
 - handle_smp_call(): execute the SMP call notification handler
 - smp_call_function(): trigger the SMP call request to target pCPUs

Other SW modules should invoke these common APIs to perform arch-independent
SMP operations.

Two arch-specific hooks are abstracted:
 - arch_smp_call_kick_pcpu():
    - On x86, special handling is required when LAPIC is passthrough.
    - On RISC-V, a plain IPI is sufficient to kick the target pCPU.
 - arch_init_smp_call():
   - On x86, CPU initialization reserves dedicated vectors and
registers callback handlers for purposes such as notifications
     or posted interrupts.
   - On RISC-V, no special handling is required at present; this
can be extended in the future if needed.

a98d2b41f6 [FIXME] hv: Makefile: temporarily confine common files to x86 only
The common files for now contains x86 specific code and needs
refactoring. To increase parallelism, we temporarily confine the common
files to x86 architecture while we tried to enable riscv architecture.

As we progress, this workaround should be completely reverted in future
milestones when we moved all common files to actual common scope.

7559698b76 hv: Makefile: Separate x86 and common makefile
Currently ACRN supports only x86 architecture. And this patch is the
first of a series of patches to enable ACRN on multiple architecture.

This commit does the multi-arch of Makefile: put x86 specific content
into arch/x86/Makefile.

This includes:
- Pre-launched VM ACPI binary generation
- acrn.32.out generation (32 bit ELF was generated towards i386
  architecture)
- Customized modularization (*_MOD). Only one module is created in
  common section: COMMON_MOD
- Architecture specific make targets and pre-build actions are moved to
architecture specific makefile. Introduce the following variable to
  register arch targets and/or actions:
  - ARCH_PRE_BUILD_TARGETS
  - ARCH_ALL_TARGETS
  - ARCH_INSTALL_TARGETS

ddfcb8c3fc hv: enable thermal lvt interrupt
This patch can fetch the thermal lvt irq and propagate
it to VM.

At this stage we support the case that there is only one VM
governing thermal. And we pass the hardware thermal irq to this VM.

First, we register the handler for thermal lvt interrupt, its irq
vector is THERMAL_VECTOR and the handler is thermal_irq_handler().

Then, when a thermal irq occurs, it flags the SOFTIRQ_THERMAL bit
of softirq_pending, This bit triggers the thermal_softirq() function.
And this function will inject the virtual thermal irq to VM.

314f3004c7 Makefile: make dependencies on validated configurations explicit
ACRN config tools generate source files, scripts and binaries based on
users' inputs in the configurations files, i.e., board and scenario
XMLs. Those generation activities all assume that users' inputs are
properly validated, so that all assumptions they have on such inputs are
hold.

Unfortunately, not all dependencies on validated user inputs are explicitly
stated in the Makefiles today. That will cause random error messages
(typically a Python stack trace) to be printed along with validation errors
when an invalid scenario XML is given, and such messages confuse users
about the root causes of the failure.

This patch decouples scenario validation from genconf.sh and make that step
as a separate target that depends on the board and scenario XMLs. One
timestamp file is generated only when the validation succeeds so that
targets requiring validated XMLs can refer that file in its dependency list
to make it explicit.

Dependencies of the following targets are also updated accordingly:

  * $(HV_ALLOCATION_XML), which is the allocation XML including static
allocation results, now also depends on validated XMLs.

  * $(HV_CONFIG_TIMESTAMP), which records when the config source files are
generated, now also depends on validated XMLs.

  * $(SERIAL_CONF), which is the serial conf for the service VM, depends on
    the allocation XML.

By the way, the missing dependency on HV_CONFIG_DIR for touching
HV_DIFFCONFIG_LIST is added to fix the "file not found" issue.

cdf7796a62 Makefile: clean up unnecessary phony targets
Phony targets are mostly for recipes that are expected to be invoked
directly from the command line as a target and will always be executed. As
a result, it is in most cases not appropriate for a real file target to to
depend on a phony one, as that means the file will always be regenerated.

In the Makefile today, however, dependencies on phony targets are common
and cause the hypervisor to be fully rebuilt regardless of whether an
existing build exists or not.

This patch cleans up the following phony targets which are not meant to be
targets from the command line.

  - pre_build: This target has three outputs, namely the prebuild checker,
the ACPI tables for pre-launched VMs and the serial.conf. It is split
into three targets, one for each output.

  - headers: This target is an alias of dynamically-generated header
files. It is replaced with a variable so that targets depending on
"header" now depends on the actual header files generated.

With this patch, make will only rebuild modified files and targets
depending on them directly or indirectly.

74e68e39d1 hv: tpm2: do tpm2 fixup for security vm
ACRN used to prepare the vTPM2 ACPI Table for pre-launched VM at the build stage

update BIOS.

This patch do TPM2 fixup to update the vTPM2 ACPI Table and TPM2 MMIO resource

3547c9cd23 hv/mod_timer: make timer into an arch-independent module
x86/timer.[ch] was moved to the common directory largely unchanged.

x86 specific code now resides in x86/tsc_deadline_timer.c and its
interface was defined in hw/hw_timer.h. The interface defines two
functions: init_hw_timer() and set_hw_timeout() that provides HW
specific initialization and timer interrupt source.

Other than these two functions, the timer module is largely arch
agnostic.
