1. In default prescaler, the wdt clock is 1 KHz for a 20-bit counter,
which means approximate 1 second for 10 bits;
2. the default reset timer in seconds need to left shift 10 bits to
represent the value that set to i6300esb register;

'err' may be used uninitialized and be dereferenced NULL.
This commit fix the reported issue via initializing 'err' to 0, and return 'err'

MISRA-C requires that each parameter in the MACRO shall be in brackets.
In some cases, adding brackets for all of the parameters may not be a
perfect solution.
For example, it may affect the code readability when there are many
parameters used in the MACRO.
And duplicated brackets will appear when one MACRO called another MACRO
which is using same parameters.
This patch convert some MACROs to inline functions to avoid such cases.

This patch adds the usercrash client in the pipe of core_pattern
without affecting default core_pattern program.
In acrnprobe_prepare.sh, core_pattern will be set as usercrash-wrapper
with all of the arguments, which parses the parameters of the default
core_pattern program and the usercrash client, and then invokes them
separately.

To align with the configuration of the HOST tool, the SW masters
are organized in slices of 8 masters each.
The slice is also the minimal unit to allocate the SW masters for
each UOS.
The patch is to update the parameter checking function.

VMs in partition mode uses a kernel patch to switch to physical mode xAPIC.
The kernel patch together with this patch makes sure device MSIs use
physical mode as DM and physical APIC IDs in Destination field.

This patch fixes an issue that CBC signal channel
is inactive after SOS resuming, it leads to IOC mediator
cannot transfer any signals between UOS and SOS. So IOC
mediator sends the open channel command to activate CBC
signal channel after resuming.

Since vmexit handling in ACRN partition mode is not complex (since no SOS and
all devices passthru), interrupts can stay disabled in root mode during

The doc build process copies files using script/extract-content.py from
outside of the doc/ folder (specifically content in the tools/ folders).
The script was not copying graphviz directive files. This has been
fixed and the embedded graphviz directives are not (properly) stored in
separate image/*.dot files.
Note the extract-content.py file is derived from the Zephyr project.

There is no requirement to hpa2gpa for trusty memory,
now we use the same inverted eptp for normal world and secure world,
that is it can get some trusty memory information by the inverted
page tables in normal world,then this patch removed the inverted
page tables for trusty memory.

In current code, the address translation type for passthrough devices
in SOS is passthrough type, which means the device in SOS can access
the whole physcial memory.
This patch uses SOS EPT to translate address for passthrough
devices. So that the memory of VMM or trusty can be protected from
SOS PTDev.
